Job summary

ARIS is seeking an Optician II in Alpharetta, GA to ensure high-quality patient care and eyewear fittings. You will review prescriptions, educate patients on lens options, and help them select frames that fit medical needs and lifestyle preferences.

You will contribute to meeting sales goals while maintaining patient satisfaction, manage frame and contact lens inventory, and collaborate with the physician for accurate prescriptions and eye health considerations.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role.
• 0–3 years of experience in a related field or role.
• Coachable and open to feedback and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Review physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts.
• Educate patients on corrective lens options and help them choose based on medical needs and lifestyle.
• Provide feedback about frame aesthetics with honesty and care.
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while assisting patients.
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure product variety and satisfaction.
• Communicate with physician regarding prescriptions and other eye-related issues.
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear.
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits.
• Independently troubleshoot eyewear and related issues.
• Operate lensometer and other tools to ensure proper fitting.

General Job Description & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. Primary responsibilities include:

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits
• Independently troubleshoot
• Operate lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fitting

Experience & Skills

Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience and:
