Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care in our Weatherford location. You will guide patients in frame selection, lens options, and coatings while ensuring accurate dispensing and fitting.

Role requires strong customer service, communication, and knowledge of insurance benefits. You will collaborate with technicians and doctors to ensure smooth order processing and high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficient with PC skills (MS Office, Windows).
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments based on prescriptions and lifestyle.
• Explain insurance coverage, benefits, copays, and warranties to patients.
• Input prescription data into EHR/ALE with accuracy and attach documentation.
• Maintain eyewear quality through proper fitting, adjustments, and repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service and educate patients on care and product options.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers to update order status and resolve issues.
