AEG seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, ensure proper fit and lens dispensing while applying your knowledge of prescriptions and insurance policies.

The role emphasizes accuracy, personalized service, and ongoing communication with technicians and managers. The position involves detailed measurements, adjusting eyewear for comfort, and staying current on lens products and rebates to deliver the best

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an optician is preferred.
• Customer service excellence and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements and lens dispensing.
• Explain products and services to patients and answer questions about insurance and pricing.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system and maintain patient charts.
• Follow up on orders and communicate status to patients; resolve issues with urgency.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and ensure product quality and safety.
