AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care, reinforcing our commitment to quality and patient satisfaction.

You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit and accurate dispensing, and collaborate with technicians and doctors to deliver a complete eyewear experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient with comprehensive product/service explanations.
• Establishes rapport by asking lifestyle questions to identify visual needs and recommends frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Keeps current on products, procedures, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Takes and returns patient calls, updates on order status, and resolves issues; escalates to management when needed.
• Educates patients on eyewear care, warranty, and insurance coverage.
• Interprets prescriptions and enters information into EHR/ALE with proper documentation.
• Follows up on pending orders, notifies patients when eyewear is ready.
• Dispenses glasses, checks fit, adjusts as necessary, and seeks feedback.
• Uses tools to adjust eyewear for comfort and acuity; communicates with staff about orders.
