Job summary

AEG Vision in Camarillo, CA is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients select frames, ensure proper measurements, and dispense lenses with accuracy and a focus on satisfaction.

This full-time position requires strong customer service and communication skills, HIPAA awareness, and proficiency with eye care products and EHR systems. Training and career growth are available within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must have High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories matching prescription and lifestyle.
• Take measurements, ensure proper frame fit, and dispense lenses accordingly.
• Explain product recommendations and warranty options to patients.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE systems accurately.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers on order status and issues.
• Maintain clean, organized frames displays and work areas.
