Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.

Responsibilities

• Provides eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Explains product recommendations based on lifestyle and visual needs.
• Keeps up-to-date on products, rebates, lenses, and frame types.
• Enters prescriptions into EHR/ALE and tracks orders.
• Assists patients in frame/lens choices and lens treatments.
• Educates patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance basics.
• Interprets prescriptions and collaborates with clinicians.
