Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients select frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, take precise measurements, and dispense accurately within a fast-paced optical practice.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR and ALE systems, communicate with technicians, and educate patients on lens treatments, warranty, and insurance benefits. Prior optical experience and HIPAA awareness are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an Optician strongly preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Interpret prescriptions written by Optometrist and Ophthalmologist.
• Enter all prescription information into the EHR and ALE systems.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranty, and insurance coverage.
