Job summary

Warby Parker is opening a new store and seeking a skilled Optician to join our in-house optical team. You will help customers see better by fitting eyewear, taking measurements, and explaining prescriptions while upholding our brand standards and commitment to exceptional service.

You will work with a collaborative team to ensure every customer leaves confident in their glasses and supported by Warby Parker’s values and mission, with opportunities to grow through ongoing training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensing states or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Passion for eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator translating technical terms for customers.
• Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer happiness.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Open-minded and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to meet eyewear needs with expert guidance.
• Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Develop and share best practices for sales and service across the organization.
• Represent Warby Parker and educate customers about brand values and mission.
