Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare, Inc. is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world class Total Patient Experience while supporting medical needs.

You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs to products and services. You should have at least 1 year of customer-facing experience, comfort with measurements (PD, bridge size, eye size), and be able to operate an auto-lensometer and lensometer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state; must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• ABO and NCLE certifications preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions
• Able to operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit patient needs
• Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames
