Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare, Inc. is seeking an Optical Technician to enhance the Total Patient Experience while supporting patients' medical needs. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts, align prescriptions from Optometrists/Ophthalmologists, and connect patient needs to available goods and services.

You will operate lensometry equipment, assist in frame selection based on measurements, and contribute to a shop that emphasizes quality care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year interacting with customers/patients.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering great medical support.
• Determine patient wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames with facial and eye measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit needs.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders using current process.
