Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare NJ seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. They connect patient needs to the goods and services offered, delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. LOCATION: Middletown, NJ.

This full-time role requires handling measurements, lens choices, and frame fittings, with proficiency in lensometry and customer service in a clinical retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience with patients.
• Assist patients in selecting frames to suit style and measurements.
• Dispense glasses and contacts per prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings, and frame options.
• Record accurate measurements (PD, eye size, etc.).
