Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Salina, KS, is seeking an Optical Technician to support patients by dispensing glasses and contacts, taking precise measurements, and coordinating eyewear with prescriptions. You will operate precision instruments and guide patients through lens options to meet their needs.

Role requires strong communication skills, HIPAA compliance, and comfort with the E360 system. Office hours: Mon-Fri with some weekend flexibility; full-time position with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong HIPAA compliance and PHI handling.
• Experience handling customer/patient interactions in medical settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience while supporting medical needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames by style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Collect measurements like bridge size, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense glasses and contacts orders in E360 system.
• Maintain inventory standards and clean presentation of displays.
• Perform general office duties as assigned by manager.
