Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Topeka, KS is seeking an Optical Technician/Optician to deliver a world‑class Total Patient Experience. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts from doctors’ prescriptions and connect patients with the goods and services we offer to support their medical needs.

As part of the team you will help patients choose frames, take measurements, operate the auto‑lensometer and lensometer, and ensure accurate orders in E360.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Determine patients' wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style, measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Maintain frame inventory and ensure accurate orders in the system.
