Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Topeka, KS is seeking an Optical Technician/Optician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, while delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience that supports both retail sales and medical needs.

You will determine patients' wants and needs, assist with frame selection, operate lensometry equipment, and ensure accurate measurements and well-organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience to build relationships while providing medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Dispense orders and maintain frame inventory and clean, organized work areas.
• Follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
