Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare, Inc. is seeking an Optical Technician to support patients’ visual needs and enhance the Total Patient Experience. You will dispense glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists, and assist patients in selecting frames that suit their facial features.

This role emphasizes accurate measurements, lens and frame recommendations, and hands-on use of ophthalmic instruments, within a standard office/clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical/ophthalmic office environment preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
• Familiarity with vision care procedures is a plus.
• ABO/NCLE not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in frame selection based on style and measurements.
• Operate lensometry equipment and document results.
• Educate patients on lenses, coatings, and frame options.
• Gather measurements such as PD, bridge, eye size, and seg heights.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain proficiency with standard office software and patient records.
