Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience while supporting medical needs and maximizing retail sales. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs to available goods and services.

The role requires 1 year of customer/patient interaction, preferred ophthalmic experience, and proficiency with standard office software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Background check favorable as required by state.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients while providing medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and facial measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Take measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, and pupillary distance.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames as needed.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders using current process.
