Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician / Optician in Topeka, KS to deliver a world-class patient experience while supporting eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists. You will connect patient needs with our products and services.

The role requires attention to frame selection, measurements, and lens options. Prior ophthalmic experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on customer service and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical office settings preferred.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret insurance forms and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames to suit needs.
• Accurately collect measurements: bridge, eye size, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt.
