Job summary

EyeCare Partners in the United States is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, guided by ophthalmologists and optometrists. You will help patients select frames, take measurements, and ensure accurate lens fitting while supporting the Total Patient Experience.

This role emphasizes customer service, precise measurements, and knowledge of lenses. ABO/NCLE certifications are preferred but not required; MS Office skills are listed as systems proficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Favorable background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames by style and color, coordinating with measurements and prescriptions.
• Dispense and fit glasses and contacts per eyewear prescriptions.
• Operate ophthalmic instruments to measure and verify lens accuracy.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and care.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure total patient experience.
• Process orders and handle repairs/adjustments of eyewear.
