Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Suwanee, GA is seeking an Optical Technician who dispenses glasses and contacts and assists patients with frame selection, under the guidance of optometrists and ophthalmologists. You will operate lensometers, educate patients on lenses and coatings, and ensure accurate measurements like PD and seg heights while supporting a world-class Total Patient Experience.

Strong customer service and at least 1 year of medical office or eyewear retail experience preferred; ABO/NCLE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent education/experience.
• Background check as required by state.
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense patient orders and repair/adjust frames.
