Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician in Manhattan, KS to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from optometrist prescriptions. You will help patients select frames, take measurements and coordinate lenses and coatings to meet medical and retail needs.

Responsibilities include operating lensometers, processing orders in E360, and maintaining a clean, compliant office with friendly patient care. ABB/ABOC certification preferred, benefits included.

Qualifications

• Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms.
• Ability to read and interpret safety/procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• HIPAA compliance and PHI handling knowledge.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients.
• Determine patients' needs and assist in selecting frames and lenses.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames.
• Accurately collect measurements (bridge, eye size, pupillary distance, etc.).
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders; adjust frames as needed.
• Maintain organized, stocked work areas and follow policies.
