Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Olathe, KS, is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, writing prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. You will connect patient needs to our products while delivering world-class service.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with frame selection, operating lensometry equipment, and ensuring accurate measurements and orders in E360. A strong focus on HIPAA compliance and patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• HIPAA compliance and understanding of PHI privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and medical support to patients.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in E360.
• Maintain frame inventory and keep areas clean and organized.
• Follow all office protocols and assist with other duties as needed.
