Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience, dispensing glasses and contacts and fitting frames from optometric prescriptions. You will help patients choose eyewear that matches facial features and style, while supporting medical needs.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience and is willing to learn lens tools; ABO/NCLE certifications are a plus. This full-time role involves a collaborative clinical setting with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year interacting with customers/patients or equivalent experience.
• Favorable background check as required by state.
• Must provide identity and work eligibility in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships while delivering medical support.
• Determine patient needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and measurements.
• Able to operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt).
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses and contacts using current process.
