Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Kentucky seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world class Total Patient Experience. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs with available goods and services.

This role emphasizes relationship building, frame selection, measurements, and using lens meters. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are expected; ABO/NCLE certifications are preferred but not

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and prescriptions.
• Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders using current process.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
