Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Ohio seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience by dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts from optometrist prescriptions. You will connect patient needs to products and services while supporting their medical care.

The role requires strong customer service, basic ophthalmic knowledge, and the ability to operate lensometry tools. Occasional travel to other locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or equivalent
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering great medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate with measurements and prescriptions
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, PD, pantoscopic tilt
• Dispense orders and adjust frames and lenses as needed
• Dispense glasses and contacts using current process
