Job summary

Eyeglass World in Peoria, IL is seeking an Optical Specialist to power the in-store experience with friendly service, precise eyewear finishing, and a calm, helpful presence at every step from selection to pickup.

You’ll work with the team to ensure fast, accurate fittings, assist with patient flow, and uphold brand standards while delivering education to customers about products and warranties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required).
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills (Required).
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required).
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required).

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards and uphold brand standards in-store.
