Job summary

Sam's Club in Homewood, AL is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain merchandise displays, stock hearing aid inventory, and process member purchases using the POS system. You will measure pupillary distance, assist with frame repairs, and support OD services within the Optical area.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be prepared to pursue ABO certification and licensure as required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
• ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• State-required optician licensure within 18 months of completing apprenticeship hours or as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise presentation in Optical area.
• Process member purchases and handle payments, returns, and exchanges via POS.
• Assist with eyewear and contact lens orders, measurements, adjustments, and repairs.
• Coordinate with labs and optometrists on product updates and status.
