Job summary

Sam’s Club in Mobile, AL is seeking an Optical Associate, Non‑Certified to help members with eyewear purchases, fittings, repairs, and prescription verification while maintaining the Optical area and processing POS transactions.

This role requires a high school diploma and ABO certification within 15 months; prior retail or healthcare experience is preferred. The position pays $18.00–$26.00 per hour with benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. ABO certification within 15 months of hire or internship.
• Willingness to obtain ABO certification and licensure as applicable by state laws.
• Experience in health care or retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and merchandising in the Optical area.
• Assist members with eyewear fittings, orders, and repairs.
• Process member purchases and handle payments and returns via POS.
• Educate members on eyewear usage and care; support contact lens guidance.
• Ensure accuracy of prescription information and pupillary measurements.
