Job summary

Stanton Optical is seeking a Doctor’s Technician to provide outstanding customer service at our on-site store location. You will facilitate the patient experience, support the clinical services team, and help transition patients through the sales process.

In this role, you’ll greet patients, schedule appointments, collect information, perform basic testing, and assist in lab tasks to ensure accurate, timely eyeglasses delivery. A focus on teamwork and patient satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients/customers.
• Associate degree or advanced certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Active listening, rapport-building and empathy with patients.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset for patient concerns.
• Collaborative spirit and cordial relationships with team and patients.
• Results-driven with ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers entering the store, identify needs and promote products/services; gather information to facilitate sales.
• Foster partnership between retail and clinical services teams.
• Schedule/confirm appointments; collect patient history and perform basic tests and exams.
• Assist management with patient issue resolution and keep status of orders updated.
• Maintain brand standards with housekeeping and basic lab hygiene.
• Edge stock lenses, assemble into frames, and ensure timely delivery of glasses.
• Notify management of equipment issues or order problems in lab area.
• Monitor delivery times to patients and ensure 100% compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
