Job summary

Shopko Optical in Wadena, MN is hiring an Optical Manager to lead the team, drive sales, and ensure top customer service and patient care. The role partners with an Optometrist to deliver business results and patient satisfaction.

You will hire, train, coach and manage performance, plan schedules, and oversee store operations including payroll and alarm responses. ABO/OCE certification within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience or equivalent management experience with strong customer service.
• ABO/Shopko OCE Certification required within 12 months of hire/promotion.
• Solid computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead, coach and build relationships in a professional environment.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively at high school level.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical team to maximize sales, profit and customer service objectives.
• Hire, train, coach and manage performance of team; partner with Optometrist.
• Drive business through merchandising, operations and customer service strategies.
• Manage opening/closing, cash office and payroll tasks.
• Develop business plans and follow up on actions to drive profitable sales.
