Job summary

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in applicable functional area.
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Optical Technician functions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet department timelines.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Occasional after-hours/weekend hours may be required.
• For remote/hybrid roles, high engagement in virtual environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of the division/team staff and manage daily work volume.
• Assist management with monitoring team performance and coaching.
• Assist in coordinating staffing within the Optical lab.
• Ensure department processes and performance standards are documented.
• Support in responding to escalated customer or business partner issues.
• Coordinate staff in case of emergencies and safety procedures.
• Assist in training and development of new associates.
• Start up and shut down lab software when applicable.
