Boscov's Department Store, LLC is seeking an Optical Associate to join our Optical team. You will dispense spectacles and contact lenses to adults and children while guiding customers on lenses and frame choices, ensuring a welcoming, professional experience.

This role emphasizes precision with prescriptions, accurate measurements, and collaborative work in a fast-paced store environment. You will operate optical equipment and support HIPAA compliance while maintaining merchandise and POS

Qualifications

• 1 year of optical experience.
• 1 year of experience in a retail store.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and maintain order files.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in person and by phone.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform measurements, and recommend frames.
• Manage order fulfillment and process sales and payments.
• Perform eyewear fittings, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Operate lensometer, autorefractor, and NCT per procedures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Assist Optical Manager with opening/closing and cash reconciliation.
• Foster positive relationships with store leadership and staff.
• Keep the optical department clean, organized, and customer friendly.
