Job summary

ASML is seeking an Optical Fabrication Technician in Wilton, CT, for back-end days on a 12-hour compressed schedule. The role involves fabricating high-precision optical components for advanced lithography systems, operating CNC mills, grinding/polishing, coating, alignment, and quality inspection with strict 5S standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus vocational training or related manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility or vocational certification preferable.
• Prior use of measuring equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and own optical processing equipment.
• Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormalities.
• Maintain area, tooling, and equipment to 5S standards.
• Identify unsafe conditions and quality concerns.
• Support production schedule execution and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve efficiency.
• Learn and apply skills to tackle progressively challenging products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, output, and cycle time.
• Inspect and map glass surfaces to identify defects.
• Clean optical surfaces to remove particles and contaminants.
• Record time and attendance accurately.
• Assist with training new and existing employees.
