Job summary

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
Prior experience in manufacturing or vocational certification preferable.
Experience with measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer is desirable.

Responsibilities

Actively monitor and operate optical processing equipment.
Handle delicate optical components and identify abnormalities.
Maintain 5S standards in the area, tooling, and equipment.
Identify unsafe conditions and quality concerns and escalate.
Support production schedule and collaborate with engineering and management to improve efficiency.
Learn and apply skills to tackle progressively more challenging products.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and throughput.
Inspect glass surfaces to map defects and ensure clean optical surfaces.
