Advanced Vision Center in Swampscott, MA seeks an Optical Consultant to work with the team and support patient education, frame and lens selection, and order coordination. You’ll interpret prescriptions, discuss insurance coverage, and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent patient experience and explain customized product recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on needs and measurements.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter information into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Communicate with technicians and managers to obtain order status and resolve issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice and assist with duties as needed.
