Job summary

ASML US, LLC in Wilton, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist to support precision manufacturing in a high-technology environment. The role involves assembling tools, programming CNC controllers, and setting up tools and workpieces with strict adherence to specifications.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and preferably an associate degree in machining, with 6 months of CNC experience and familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office & SAP.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associate degree in machining preferred.
• At least 6 months of CNC machining experience in optical fabrication.
• Experience with 3-5 axis machining or related vocational certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic math including geometry and trigonometry.
• Familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office & SAP.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges.
• DMG, Hurco & Siemens control experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cutting tools into tool-holders and position them in machine spindles and/or tool changer magazines.
• Manually program CNC controllers through input of data and generated CNC programs.
• Set up cutting tools and work pieces via CNC operation and tool changes.
• Make tool changes and offsets to keep parts in spec and compensate for tool wear.
• Follow written English work instructions describing processes and measurements.
• Read and interpret ISO blueprints and incorporate into part programs.
• Measure workpieces for conformance to specifications and verify settings.
• Maintain continuity across shifts by documenting actions and needs for other shifts.
• Maintain safe operations by following procedures and reporting discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with operators, management and engineers.
• Prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
• Translate requirements into an executable schedule.
