Job summary

ASML US, LLC in Wilton, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist for a back-end night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Wed–Fri and alternating Saturdays). The role involves assembling tooling, programming CNC controllers, and setting up tools and workpieces from ISO blueprints in a clean-room environment.

The ideal candidate has CNC experience, reads blueprints, and can measure parts with micrometers and calipers. Training on DMG/Hurco/Siemens controls is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in machining preferred.
• 6+ months CNC experience in optical fabrication.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators.
• DMG/Hurco/Siemens control familiarity a plus.
• Ability to read ISO drawings and translate to shop programs.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cutting tools into tool-holders and position them as required.
• Manually program CNC controllers through generated CNC programs.
• Set up cutting tools and workpieces on machine, adjusting offsets as needed.
• Read and interpret ISO blueprints and translate to part programs.
• Measure workpieces to verify conformance to specs.
• Verify settings by measuring parts before/after changes.
• Maintain shift continuity and document actions for other shifts.
• Maintain safety by following procedures and reporting discrepancies.
• Communicate with operators, management and engineers.
• Translate requirements into executable schedule.
