ASML US Wilton Factory is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join the Optical Fabrication team. You will support daily manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and partner closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to advance equipment capability and product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or related field).
• 10+ years of experience in optical fabrication process engineering or related manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with optics fabrication techniques, including CNC machining, polishing, and surface inspection.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and lean manufacturing tools.
• Familiarity with metrology techniques and quality assurance in optics manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead problem-solving initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Champion a safety-first culture by identifying hazards and ensuring EHS protocols.
• Develop and improve CNC machining processes, programs, and workflows for new and existing products.
• Optimize cycle times, toolpaths, feeds/speeds, and work holding to improve quality and throughput.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and implement solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, programming, and equipment behavior.
• Partner with maintenance and vendors to address machine performance, repeatability issues, or reliability concerns.
• Analyze machining performance using SPC, capability studies, and data-driven problem solving.
• Define process specifications and control limits; utilize statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) to evaluate process capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Perform hands‑on process trials and support qualification of new equipment, materials, and process changes to enhance production performance.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or nonconformances.
• Drive 5S and workplace organization around CNC areas.
