Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optical Consultant to support optometrists and ensure exceptional patient care. You'll perform pre-exam evaluations, assist during visits, handle records, and help with scheduling and referrals, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

In this full-time role, you’ll work in a collaborative team, develop patient education, and contribute to a positive patient experience through accurate documentation and friendly service.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before the exam (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, OCT, visual acuity).
• Schedule referrals and follow-up appointments with ophthalmologists or specialists.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with patient inquiries and document medical findings.
