Job summary

AEG Vision in Seattle, WA seeks an Optical Consultant who collaborates with Optometrists to deliver exceptional patient care. You will perform preliminary evaluations, record findings, and guide patients through contact lens care and eyeglass selection.

You will uphold HIPAA compliant records, schedule referrals, manage daily operations, and support the practice with friendly, professional service while maintaining the practice's welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and general computer use.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to the exam (dilation, topical meds, Optomap, acuity).
• Interview patients before visits to capture medical concerns for the Optometrist.
• Maintain patient records in EHR in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up appointments with ophthalmology or specialists.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/education and inventory handling.
• Support daily clinic operations and keep the workspace clean and organized.
