Job summary

AEG seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in our Bellevue, WA practice. You will assist patients with eyewear, ensure proper measurements, and dispense with accuracy and service excellence.

You will interpret prescriptions, discuss lens types, coatings, and frame options, while maintaining EHR records, insurance understanding, and customer satisfaction. This full-time, on-site role offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required to practice as an Optician.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills including MC Office, Windows and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service, pleasant demeanor, sales experience.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary patient experience and explain product recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting eyewear fitting prescription and lifestyle needs.
• Verify lens/frame fit, take measurements, and dispense lenses.
• Educate patients on eye care, insurance, warranties, and pricing.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE system and maintain records.
• Follow up on orders and notify patients of status and delays.
• Dispense, adjust, and repair eyewear for comfort and acuity.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers to resolve orders.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas and displays.
• Maintain knowledge of products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
