Job summary

AEG Vision in Bellevue, WA is hiring a Licensed Optician to provide eyewear solutions and premium patient care. You will interpret prescriptions, dispense glasses, and educate patients on lens options, coatings, and insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• State licensure required to practice as an optician.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Customer-service oriented with sales aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains our recommendations.
• Question lifestyle to identify visual needs and recommend frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Keeps current on products, rebates, and lens technologies.
• Enter prescriptions into the EHR/ALE system and maintain patient records.
• Verify orders, update patients, and escalate issues when needed.
• Dispense glasses with proper fit and adjust for comfort.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the practice.
