Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with public assistance eligibility operations.
• Familiarity with eligibility determination processes and case processing workflows.
• Knowledge of state and federal program requirements for public assistance.
• Ability to analyze data and generate operational reports.
• Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with electronic case management and eligibility systems.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review eligibility case actions requiring research, clarification, correction, or additional operational attention.
• Analyze case information and system data to determine next steps for eligibility actions.
• Research and resolve discrepancies, errors, and missing information.
• Ensure compliance with eligibility policies and federal/state requirements.
• Perform case research using Department systems and reports.
• Identify cases approaching processing timeframes and escalate barriers when needed.
• Assist with statewide efforts to reduce pending workloads and improve timely disposition.
• Coordinate with ESS staff to resolve complex case issues.
• Develop and maintain tracking mechanisms for actions and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and manage workload to meet timeframes.
• Identify operational barriers and propose solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support quality improvement initiatives to reduce errors and improve payments and eligibility accuracy.
• Participate in statewide eligibility initiatives, system changes, and special projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
