Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners is seeking a Surgical Services Coordinator to manage scheduling of surgical procedures and daily facility operations in Las Vegas. This role includes material management and inventory control, with a Monday–Thursday, 6AM–5PM schedule.

The coordinator will schedule surgeries, counsel patients on pre-/post-operative steps, collect bookings and insurance data, and support the operating room and Shared Care teams to ensure efficient, high-quality ophthalmic care.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a surgical specialty practice, ophthalmology preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization with attention to detail.
• Demonstrates computer literacy.
• Capable of meeting high volume of patient surgical scheduling.
• Good attitude, professionalism, promote team cohesion.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient surgical and pre-operative appointments, including those with the patient’s primary care physician, surgical facility, ophthalmologist or technician, and Shared Care.
• Counsel patients regarding all aspects of surgery including eye drop instructions, instructions for day of surgery, and post-operative instructions
• Collects all pertinent information for upcoming surgery, such as bookings, lens orders, insurance, H&Ps, and signed consent forms, and transfers to surgical facility.
• Runs accurate calculations as required, i.e. LASIK, RK, Toric, and other calculations as indicated.
• If assigned to surgeon, maintains their surgical schedule and addresses requests in a timely manner.
• Answer all telephone inquiries from patients, their families, or primary care physicians and Shared Care doctors concerning surgery and/or related concerns.
• Assist in the daily functions of the operating room for surgical cases.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
