Job summary

Eye Associates Northwest in Seattle is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to manage all aspects of scheduling surgical procedures and daily clinic operations. The role includes patient instruction, information collection for surgeries, and coordinating with surgical facilities.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of ophthalmology experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficient computer literacy to handle high patient volumes.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a surgical specialty practice, ophthalmology preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Proficient computer literacy and ability to manage high volumes of scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient surgical and pre-operative appointments.
• Counsel patients regarding surgery, eye drops, day-of-surgery and post-operative instructions.
• Collects information for upcoming surgery (bookings, insurance, H&Ps, signed consent) and transfers to the surgical facility.
• Run accurate calculations as required (e.g., LASIK and others).
• Answer inquiries from patients and Shared Care doctors regarding surgery and related concerns.
• Assist in daily operating room functions for surgical cases.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
