Job summary

Chicago Eye Consultants and DuPage Eye is seeking an experienced Practice Administrator to lead daily operations of its ophthalmology practices in the Chicago area. The role emphasizes operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience.

The home office is in Stickney, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive ophthalmology practice management experience, strong revenue cycle knowledge, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field; master's preferred.
• 5+ years in ophthalmology practice management.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
• Proficient in practice management software and EHR systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of ophthalmology practices, including scheduling and staff management.
• Develop policies to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Monitor financial performance: budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle management.
• Recruit, train, and supervise front desk staff and clinicians.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security.
• Collaborate with billing/coding to ensure accurate claims.
• Stay current with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines.
