Job summary

Chicago Eye Consultants and DuPage Eye seeks an experienced Practice Administrator to lead daily ophthalmology office operations at the Stickney home office. You’ll drive operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in ophthalmology management, strong revenue cycle knowledge, HIPAA compliance, and proven team leadership to support physicians and staff in delivering outstanding care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of management in ophthalmology or optometry.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Experience with practice management software and EHR systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to develop high-performing teams and support physicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ophthalmology practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff management.
• Develop and implement policies to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Monitor financial performance: budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle management.
• Recruit, train, and supervise front desk staff, medical assistants, and admin personnel.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations for a cohesive team.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and robust patient privacy; uphold data security.
