Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Winfield, Geneva and Naperville seeks a Practice Administrator II to oversee Ophthalmology operations across multiple clinics, directing the financial and operational plans to deliver excellent patient care. You will manage budgets, coordinate staffing, drive process improvements, and coach staff within NM's Code of Ethics and Compliance Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
• Five (5) years management experience in a medical setting or related experience.
• Demonstrates alignment with NM’s core values of integrity, excellence, patients first, and teamwork.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others.

Responsibilities

• Stays informed of current and emerging issues and trends for areas of accountability and healthcare industry.
• Identifies opportunities for new business growth and development, expansion of current services, etc.
• Practices fiscal accountability and involves staff in budget preparation and cost-saving ideas.
• Measures and monitors budget and business development plans; provides ongoing updates to staff.
• Provides coaching, mentoring and assigns stretch goals for staff development.
• Involves staff in planning and decision-making and holds them accountable for results.
• Facilitates change readiness and agility among staff and teams.
• Achieves departmental and organizational goals.
