Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be compassionate and can establish confidence and trust with patients
• Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress
• Highly energetic with a positive attitude
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Create and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
• Ability to perform as part of a team as well as work independently
• One or more years' experience working in a medical practice preferred
• Knowledge of medical and vision and insurances preferred
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Experience with NextGen, Microsoft, Clearwave preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors.
• Verify insurance and manage appointment schedule.
• Accurately collect copays, deductibles, and balances.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Keep reception area clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory of retail items if applicable.
• Handle incoming calls with proper etiquette.
• Travel between locations to support front office operations.
• Willing to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
