Tufts Medicine is seeking a senior education administrator to manage postgraduate medical education programs and residency initiatives. You will coordinate activities for residents, fellows, medical and physician assistant students and staff across Tufts Medicine and affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Liberal Arts, or related field plus five years of experience in a similar setting.
• High School diploma or equivalent with nine years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Department's residency and the application process for fellowship programs. Sets screening criteria and reviews applicants in compliance with regulations.
• Manages the Department's Education Office and is the primary contact for applicants and students, developing program information packets and CME tracking info.
• Coordinates all departmental educational lecture series, plans topics for the academic year, and secures regional/national speakers.
• Prepares orientation for all residents, fellows, and students to Tufts Medicine and the Department, maintains academic standards, and ensures regulatory compliance for residency programs.
• Develops and maintains the integrated operative database in compliance with reporting requirements.
• Directs and prepares annual reporting to the RRC and coordinates site visits with affiliated hospitals.
• Ensures residents and fellows are appropriately appointed, including visas, licensure, and malpractice insurance.
• Directs examination and evaluation of House Officers and Medical Students; provides performance input to Program Directors.
• Functions as primary liaison for House Officers and students to faculty and administration.
• Counsels residents and students on personal and professional issues, arranging mentorship when appropriate.
• Performs surveys of residents and students to solicit feedback and present results to education committees.
• Coordinates mock oral exams with residents and external attendings.
• Maintains collaborative relationships to achieve goals and foster a positive work environment.
