North Bay Retina is seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day clinical and back-office operations of the retina practice. You will oversee patient flow, staff training, scheduling, inventory, and compliance while providing hands-on clinical support as needed.

The ideal candidate has ophthalmology management experience, strong clinical knowledge, and outstanding communication and leadership skills to drive high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Management or supervisory experience in an ophthalmology or eye-care setting.
• Strong understanding of ophthalmic clinical workflows and terminology.
• Experience managing ophthalmic technicians.
• Ability to perform or understand patient workups, diagnostic testing, imaging and documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Professional, compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily clinical operations and patient flow
• Lead, coach, train, and support clinical/back-office staff
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes
• Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and workflow improvements
• Monitor physician schedules and make recommendations to improve efficiency
• Provide hands-on clinical training to ophthalmic technicians
• Perform patient workups, imaging, fluorescein angiography, and scribing as needed
• Support physicians and staff with clinical and operational needs
• Oversee medication and clinical supply inventory, including ordering, tracking, and expiration/waste management
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of clinical equipment
• Work with IT and staff to ensure effective use of clinical software and technology
• Assist with regulatory compliance and MIPS reporting
• Coordinate staff meetings, training, in-services, and continuing education
• Work collaboratively with physicians, the Administrator, billing staff, and other members of the practice
• Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment
• Perform additional duties necessary to support the successful operation of the practice
